“Aussie” New Year’s Eve

This is your chance to enjoy all the fun of New Year’s Eve without the price tag. It’s a New Year’s Eve prequel in honour of those Down Under who are ringing in 2016 a little earlier than the rest of us. New Year’s Eve at the Giggle Dam

Bring in 2016 with a hilarious bang as the DAM cast lets loose with the celebrated Laugh with the DAM Stars show. This comedic, once a year only, musical extravaganza features a six piece live band and a plethora of well known celebrity impersonations. Celine Dion, Garth Brooks, Cher, Neil Diamond, Rod Stewart and the DAM’s resident king, Elvis Presley will provide something for everyone and will keep all in stitches the whole night through! Chef Pieter J Van Meenen kicks it up in the kitchen and they provide the DAM champagne and party favours for the big countdown. This event always sells out, so don’t wait to book!

Latin Dance Party

This New Year’s Eve party features all night dancing with Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Cha-cha-cha, Cumbia and more. Ring in 2016 with your dancing shoes on! There will be all night dancing, appetizers and desserts, and champagne at midnight. Dress to impress! Tickets are $35 before December 30, 2015 and $40 at the door. Parking is free.

Party 2016 with Trooper

Canadian icons Trooper will be rocking in the New Year at Hard Rock Casino Vancouver on December 31, 2015. Their string of hits include “Two for the Show”, “Santa Maria”, “Oh, Pretty Lady”, “We’re Here For a Good Time (Not a Long Time)”, “Raise a Little Hell”, “The Boys in the Bright White Sports Car”, “3 Dressed Up as a 9” and “Janine”. In 1979, they earned a Juno Award for “Group of the Year” and just three years ago, McGuire and Smith were awarded SOCAN’s prestigious “National Achievement Award” in acknowledgment of their significant and lasting contributions to Canada’s songwriting legacy. Quiring in the New Year

Firmly established as a must-see concert and annual tradition among classical music lovers, the brilliantly talented Quiring Chamber Players, Reg Quiring, viola and Rosemary O’Connor, piano, return for their eighth annual New Year’s Eve celebration at Evergreen. Featuring violinist Ian Swensen of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and cellist Olivia Blander of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra – this will be a New Year’s eve to remember! There will be a sparkling reception following the concert.

New Year’s Eve Party at the John B

2016 Penguin Plunge

Feeling a little sluggish after your New Year’s celebrations? There’s no better way to clear away the cobwebs and welcome 2016 than to plunge into the frigid waters of Burrard Inlet. Or maybe you just want to watch those crazy brave souls who are taking the plunge. Enjoy entertainment, refreshments and best of all – community spirit! Registration is $5 per person and funds raised help run community programs at Old Orchard Hall.
