Port Moody Art Show 2015

What:  A Show to Share Fundraiser
When:  Friday, November 6, 7pm – 11pm.
Where:  Inlet Theatre, Port Moody
The skinny:  A Show to Share Fundraiser will be a magical evening filled with dance performances, live music, a cocktail reception, and a silent auction – all for a great cause! Partial proceeds will go to SHARE. Please bring non-perishable food items and toys for families in need in time for the holiday season. Tickets are $35.

What:  Port Moody Art Show and Sale
When:  Friday, November 6th, 7:30pm. Saturday and Sunday 10am-5pm.
Where:  Port Moody Recreation Complex
The skinny:  48th annual Port Moody Art Association Show and Sale. Largest sale of original art in the Tri-Cities. Over 300 works of original art will be for sale all weekend.

What:  PoCo’s Portrait Project: Our Time, Our Town
When:  Saturday, November 7, 4pm – 6pm.
Where:  Leigh Square, Port Coquitlam
The skinny:  The exhibition features different genres of portrait paintings of Port Coquitlam residents as homage to the people and to the community itself. Bring your family and friends to view the art work, meet the artists, and enjoy some refreshments.

What:  Movie Matinee at Port Moody Museum
When:  Sunday, November 8, 2pm – 4pm.
Where:  Port Moody Station Museum
The skinny:  Join the museum for their movie feature- All Quiet on the Western Front. There is limited seating available so please reserve by contacting the museum.

What:  Andres Wines Property Open House
When:  Monday, November 9, 5pm – 8pm.
Where:  Old Mill Boathouse Banquet Hall, 2715 Esplanade St, Port Moody.
The skinny:  Andrew Peller Limited is re-initiating conversations with the community on the future of the old Andres Wines property. Meet the planning team at the open house to discuss the future of the 5-acre site.

What:  Job Strategies for College & University Grads
When:  Tuesday, November 10, 7pm – 8pm.
Where:  Port Moody Public Library
The skinny:  Have you been looking for a career after graduation? Is it taking longer than you expected? Frustrated and unsure of next steps? Get advice on job searching techniques from someone who’s been there and learn new strategies to get a job (soon)! This program is provided by WorkBC – Training Innovations, Port Moody.
