Firefighters Charitable Society Goes Vegas Glam

Vegas fundraiser Coquitlam fire

The Coquitlam Firefighters are putting the finishing touches on their annual Vintage Vegas Charity Bash. The event is happening this Friday, May 15, 2015 at 6:30pm at the Hard Rock Casino in Coquitlam. The celebration raises funds and awareness to help feed vulnerable kids in the community through the Nutritional Snack Program. The event is presented by Scotiabank and created entirely by the Coquitlam Firefighters Charitable Society. The goal is to double our funds raised from last year and expand the Snack Program into more schools in the community. Attend this fun “Vintage Vegas” casino themed event and have a chance to win a trip to Las Vegas, courtesy of Flight Centre.

The evening’s headline entertainment will be provided by Nearly Neil and the Solitary Band, who knows how to bring some Vintage Vegas Glam. You can play your part in contributing to the atmosphere by dressing in vintage semi-formal attire. Attendees will also enjoy live performances by local talented youth in the “Kids Helping Kids” campaign. Try your luck at the casino tables and enjoy cocktails and food prepared by the Hard Rock Casino. There will be silent and live auctions, as well as raffles and great prizes to take home.

Getting to and from the event safely is easy. Parking is free at the Hard Rock Casino. A free (donation recommended) Safe Ride Home option will be available, to get you and your car home safely; 100% of donations given to the driver’s go towards the Tri-Cities Kidsport Charity.

General Admission is $85 per person, and tickets include door admission, one entry into ‘Las Vegas Getaway’ door prize draw, entertainment, canapés and $2000 ‘Play Money’ for casino games. Tickets are not available at the door, so get yours online before you go. Find the link at
