Port Moody Wine Event – BC Uncorked: The Art of Food and Wine!

BC Uncorked Port Moody May 30 2015

This past weekend was beautiful, and many of us spent an afternoon on the patio, sipping a great vintage. If you’re looking for some new wines to enjoy during the warm days ahead, you’ll be glad to hear that BC Uncorked: The Art of Food and Wine is back. It’s coming up on Saturday, May 30, 2015 starting at 7:00pm at Heritage Woods Secondary in Port Moody. This wine-tasting event showcases new and current releases from top BC wineries, and raises funds for The Ride to Conquer Cancer. And, it should come as no surprise, that it’s a hit every time it happens, which is why it’s moved into a bigger venue for this run. Tickets are on sale now, and you’ll want to get yours while they last.

Best of BC Wines Uncorked is presented by West Coast Wine Education. Wine expert John Gerum started that business to help the general public become more educated consumers in the world of wine. John Gerum shares, “In British Columbia there are presently over 220 wineries and this number is growing rapidly as more grape growers are establishing wineries to produce their own wines. This results in hundreds of new wines and brands available to ever discerning consumers. This event is sure to widen your palate and increase your enjoyment of the range and quality of wines this great province has to offer the discriminating wine consumer.”
