What: Morning Schmooze – November

The skinny:   Presented by the Tri Cities Chamber of Commerce. Join us bright and early for our November Morning Schmooze! Meet other Chamber members, make new contacts and expand your business network all while enjoying your morning breakfast at one of the Chamber’s most popular networking events. Bring along at least sixty business cards. This event is hosted in a “speed-networking” style, where you sit with 6 other people and each person is given an opportunity to deliver their one minute elevator pitch to the others at the table. After 10 minutes a bell rings and you switch tables and start the process again. Members $20; $40 for non-members).

What: Coquitlam Foundation Fundraiser Kickin it Country

What: Port Moody Art Association 47th Annual Exhibition and Sale

The skinny:   Port Moody Art Association show opens Friday, November 7, 2014. Doors open at 7:30pm SHARP and the official opening is at 8pm. Framed original paintings by member artists will be showcased and artists will be in attendance. The show continues on Saturday, November 8, 2014, from 10am to 5pm, and on Sunday, November 9, 2014, from 10am to 5pm, offering additional unframed paintings and art cards. What: Learn to Make Soap the Old Fashioned Way

The skinny: Mackin House is partnering with Voyageur Soap & Candle Co. to offer you an exclusive look into how soap was made in the past.  Due to the nature of soap making and the chemicals used, this event is for ages 18 plus. Registration is required and the event is by donation. The workshop will run for a full 2 hours, so please be there for the duration of the workshop so that you receive all the necessary instructions.
