What: Linden Tree Tour and Tea
When:  Thursday, July 17 from 7:30pm
Where: Riverview Hospital 2601 Lougheed Highway, Coquitlam (map)
The skinny: Walks & Tours are open to the Public and are FREE (tea??), but you are welcome to join the society, or make a tax-deductible donation if you wish. Walks are usually led by a volunteer arborist, and last about two hours, depending on weather and walkers’ preference. Dress for the weather, and wear comfy shoes or boots. Children are always welcome. Dogs must be on ‘leash’. We go rain or shine.

What: Moon Fall by Rebel Haunt Theatre

The skinny: “Moon Fall’ is a brand new Micro-Epic musical created by Rebel Haunt Theatre. It will take you deep into the night and high into the cosmos. Come and jump into the night with Loon and the Moon and dance on the stars so bright. Tickets are $10 dollars at the door. What:  Reading Riot

The skinny:  Let loose in the library with Star Wars activities, crafts, board games and more at this weekly program. Ages 6-12. Drop in, space is limited.  Weekly until August 15.

What: Art in the Garden

The skinny:  Self – guided tours in 10 private gardens in the Tri-Cities featuring visual artists, artisans and musicians. Free Art & Garden Fair at Port Moody Arts Centre. Watch for upcoming gardening lectures at the Arts Centre! Garden Tour Tickets: $20/person (Discounted rate of $15/person for group purchases of 8 tickets or more). What: Deboville Slough Knotweed Removal
When:  Saturday, July 19 from 9:00am – 12:00pm

The skinny: Are you interested in becoming a Bad Seed volunteer? It’s easy — just show up! If you enjoy the outdoors, want to help the environment and don’t mind getting your hands dirty, we’d love to see you there. If you planning to volunteer with a group with five or more people, please let us know beforehand by emailing swagner@coquitlam.ca. This invasive plant weed pull will focus on the removal of Japanese knotweed. Hand tools, shovels and gloves will be provided.

The skinny:  Please come and join Port Moody Library for a free drop-in program this summer called Stories Galore and More. Songs, stories, crafts and more all in an outdoor setting – nothing but fun!! This program is most suitable for children up to the age of six and parents must be present.
