It seems we weren’t the only ones complaining about the proposed pay parking strategy at Rocky Point Park. The plan is now on hold with the thinking being the plan will resurface next year with public input. Let’s hope this isn’t just a way to avoid doing something unpopular in an election year.

The City of Coquitlam has opened up new bike skills trails in Mundy Park. The trails are within the BC Hydro corridor at the corner of Mariner Way and Chilko Way. There are two different bike trails, one for beginners, one for intermediate riders. The circuits feature nine different types of obstacles such as a timber teeter-totter, log stacks and bridges, and boulder drop-off.

The blog Coquitlam History has dug up a book published in 1915 about the Re-settlement and cultivation of land in BC. It may be the first book published by a Coquitlam resident.
