Links: New Craft Brews and Fun in the Tri-Cities Sun

Summer Fun Tri-Cities

Coquitlam’s new garbage system rolled out at the beginning of the month, and things are running fairly smoothy. The main issue so far seems to be people forgetting to unclip the little bear locks on the green waste bins. If you’re having issues or would like some more information, there is a garbage collection workshop this morning at 10am at Dogwood Pavilion.

As we reported last week, the City of Port Moody held a public forum on house size last Tuesday. Here is the Tri-City News recap of all the action.

If you like beer, there are two new craft breweries opening up in Port Moody. Yellow Dog Brewery is in the process of opening up across from Rocky Point Park. Later this summer or early fall a little further west down Murray Street, Moody Ales will also have a craft brewery and tasting room.

Apparently there are endangered turtles in Mundy Park, in fact one with fishing hook in its mouth was saved recently.

Finally, while this weekend was a little wet, we’ve had a great stretch of weather here in Metro Vancouver. YouTube user Steven Sam I Am took his new GoPro camera to White Pine Beach to capture some of the fun that can be had during summer in the Tri-Cities.
