Canadian Cancer Society Relay for Life Coquitlam

A fun-packed week ahead of you, Tri Cities residents. Roll up for a jellied eels eating contest outside Port Coquitlam City Hall, swim with the leviathon in Lafarge Lake, take part in a roller derby flashmob at Coquitlam Centre and finish off with Michael Bublé mixing and serving cocktails while singing sweet lullabies down at Rocky Point Pier … oh wait! that’s next week.

What: Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation Charity Golf Classic

The skinny: Golf for a good cause. Golf all day and take part in the patio parties, auctions and full buffet dinner later.

What: Leigh Square Movie Night: Megamind

What: Neighbourhood Swap Meet and Community Shredding Event
When:  Saturday, May 31 from 9:00am – 2:00pm
Where: Glen Pine Pavilion (map)
The skinny: This is the event for you if you like swapping your neighbours or shredding your community. Watch out for those knuckles. Shredding starts at 10am and goes on to 12pm (that’s noon, if you’re a little shaky on clock times). Although both events are free, bringing something nice for the food bank or the Glen Pine 50 Plus Society will polish your karma just nicely.
