Port Moody is Experiencing an Art Explosion

Kaboom Port Moody Inlet Theatre

On Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 7:00pm a creatively-combustible evening of art and performance is coming to Port Moody when KaBoom! takes over the City Hall Galleria. The event brings together Port Moody-based artists for an explosion of self-made fun and entertainment, where the audience is invited to participate in hands-on activities.

KaBoom!’s goal is to encourage collaborations and opportunities for artists. The organizers are hoping that the celebration becomes an annual must-attend event for local artists. They’re lighting the fuse, and they want you to be part of it.

Port Moody calls itself the City of the Arts. The city’s website says, “Culture and the arts are valued and celebrated in the City of Port Moody.” Events like KaBoom! are meant to foster the local creative community. Unlike other creative and artistic events you may have attended, though, this one immerses you in the action. The party happens around you, and you’re a part of it. We have to admit, we’re intrigued.

The event is free, but you must register to attend. To find out more about KaBoom! or to register as a spectator so you can take in all the action, visit www.portmoody.ca/kaboom. You can also find out more on KaBoom!’s Facebook Event page.

Take cover, it’s an art explosion!
