Evergreen Line Construction Lafarge Lake

Over the Remembrance Day weekend, major work was done on the Evergreen Line at the corner of Ioco and Barnet Highway. This week the changes start at the end of the line in Coquitlam. At the intersection of Pinetree and Guildford Way, there will be some changes as construction starts on the elevated guideway around the Evergreen Cultural Centre. Geocaching is a hobby where you use maps and a GPS unit to find hidden things in the great outdoors. Call it combining hiking with a scavenger hunt. The Port Moody Ecological Society has launched the Port Moody Centennial Geocache. If you’d like to try your hand at finding it, all the info is at their website.

The 2nd edition of the I Am Someone Walk to End Bullying is taking place in Port Coquitlam on Sunday, Dec. 8. Registration begins at noon in Leigh Square, with a 1pm start for the walk. For more info you can visit iamsomeone.ca.
