Last-Minute Pro-D Day Fun

It’s a Pro-D Day tomorrow here in School District 43. These things really have a way of creeping up on you. If you’re still scrambling for something to do with your kids, we have a few last-minute suggestions.

Evergreen Cultural Centre

From 9:00am-3:00pm tomorrow, your kids can head to Evergreen Cultural Centre for some creative fun. Children aged seven to fourteen will go on a nature walk and collect objects for a mixed-media collage, as well as making fun, decorative clay pumpkins. The class is $50, and aftercare is available for an additional fee. | 604.927.6552

Place des Arts

Place des Arts runs its popular ‘Day of the Arts’ program on Coquitlam School District Pro-D Days. There are still spaces in some blocks for kids from kindergarten through grade five. The theme is Down on the Farm, and your kids can spend the day dancing like animals, doing musical theatre in the barn, sculpting a farm, and more. Fees range from $51-$55 for the day, and optional after-care is available. | 604.664.1658

Port Coquitlam

School’s out but the fun is in with Port Coquitlam Parks and Recreation Children Services Team. Children aged five to ten will participate in a variety of great activities throughout the day, including sports hall games, art attack and theme activities. There was still lots of space available at the time of writing. The session runs from 9:00am-4:00pm, and the cost is just $35 per child, making it one of the longest and most affordable options. | 604.927.7529

Port Moody

Kids aged five to ten can head to the Port Moody Recreation Complex for some Pro-D Day fun. Children will make crafts, have gym time and participate in other activities. The day is $36 per child, and there were still spaces available at the time of writing. | 604.469.4556
