What: Young Entrepreneurs Fair at Aspenwood Elementary

What: Teddy Bear Picnic and Grand Parade

The skinny:  All the fun of the parade and the picnic, especially for bears and their owners. Where:   starts Lions Park, around the Traboulay Trail (map)
The skinny:   Emulate the yellow jerseys and spin those wheels around PoCo’s Traboulay Trail. Intrepid riders attempt the whole 25km; keen wannabes can head off to Pajo’s in Cates Park. Organised by the PoCo Heritage and Centennial Committees, this ride is a wonderful opportunity to experience the varied riding terrain offered around the community. Registration free (riders must sign a waiver); donations welcome.

What:  Early Summer Tree Tour

The skinny:  Learn about your close-at-hand outdoors in this informative guided tour between the tree trunks in the Riverview grounds. Walks run rain or shine so bring a brolly and waterproofs or sun protection and a floppy hat. Walks are free, open to the public and dogs on a leash (the dogs, not the public). The skinny:   Sadly, this event is now sold out (hint: mark it down in your diaries for next year). Organised by the Tri Cities Chamber of Commerce, this athletic day out brings together the business community and wraps up with an amazing buffet dinner. Although the event itself is sold out, there are still tickets available for the evening meal. Tickets $55 + tax (members); $65 + tax (non-members).
