Get Your Nosh on at a Coquitlam Public House

Guest submission from the Joseph Richard Group.

The Joseph Richard Group is pleased to offer two exceptional locations in Coquitlam. Quickly to become a favourite with locals, is Townhall Public House in the tradition and history rich location of Maillardville. Built in 1934, in the former Jubilee Hotel, The French Quarter pub was one of two original pubs built to service the millworkers occupying the majority of the town. Located conveniently at Brunette and Lougheed, the pub features the original antique ceiling and fan system that have been restored to working conditions (minus a few squeaks).

Additionally in Coquitlam is our Irish inspired Micky’s Public House, that takes root in the old Two Parrots Pub; a local watering hole since 1989. The pub and patio have been renovated to bring a warm new look and feel to this public house in the heart of this hustle and bustle area of Coquitlam. When you walk in the door you’ll see Cead mile failte romhat!, which means A hundred thousand welcomes!

micky's townhall public house coquitlamThe atmosphere and service you’ll find at these two locations will easily surpass your expectations. The staff is well trained, knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. Every guest that walks in the door instantly becomes part of the family. The food is phenomenal, too. So tasty in fact that the V3H recently awarded Townhall with a perfect 5 out of 5 Nachos for the Nacho platter. However, you’ll have to make a few visits in order to really sink your teeth into the signature menu items, especially the slow braised beef dip, jalapeno, bacon and cheese stuffed wings, and stuffed burgers!

Not to be overshadowed by the food, Townhall and Micky’s offers an extensive beer menu with over 30 craft beers, many from local
breweries and their own 1.O.A.K. cocktails, all made with the same care and attention given to the food. It’s really fun to taste your way through them all!

Want to know the best kept secret? The weekend brunch! 2 Omega Free run eggs, bacon or sausage, toast and home fries all for only $4, and pairs great with a $4 Caesar or $3 Mimosa.

Not just a great place to dine; these two locations are heavily involved in Coquitlam’s Community Events. Recently fundraising and participating in the Relay 4 Life, featured members of the Chamber of Commerce for May, main sponsor for the Coquitlam Adanacs and upcoming food supplier for the St. Jean Baptiste Day at Heritage Park on Sunday June 23rd. Stop by Townhall or Micky’s and get to know them, you won’t regret it.
