Five Guys Port Coquitlam

So this past weekend I’m looking for Mark’s Work Wearhouse, as it’s a good place to buy a spring coat. Thinking it’s just over the King Edward Overpass on United Boulevard, over I go. Nope, that location is gone. No matter, head over behind Costco in Port Coquitlam, that one has been there forever. Wrong again. Turns out they have a single new fancy location in the brand spanking new Fremont Development in Port Coquitlam. The Vancouver Sun goes into some detail on what is attracting the retailers of fine casual outdoor wear everywhere. And they have a Five Guys. Good God those are good fries.

To go along with their fancy new big box shopping area, Port Coquitlam has updated their website. The navigation is very well done.

If you’re a fan of wine, and who isn’t really, West Coast Wine Education has a Spring Wine Club. Once a month on a Wednesday night the meeting happens somewhere in Port Moody, where wines will be sampled, your palette educated, and good times had by all. The club starts on May 8th, check out the West Coast Wine Education website for more details.

The City of Coquitlam has produced a fancy new travel guide, detailing all the fun stuff visitors can see and do in the City. Even if people aren’t going to cancel their Paris plans and book Coquitlam, promoting ourselves to groups like visiting sports tournaments makes sense. What would make even more sense is if the whole Tri-Cities did this together. If you’re going to spend $30,000 on a travel guide, including the Inlet in Port Moody and the Five Guys in Port Coquitlam wouldn’t be too much more trouble. I should really go get some of those fries.

Speaking of eating, Robin Leung gets his Greek on at Sokela Mediterranean Restaurant.

And finally, Shaw TV’s Go Vancouver came to the Tri-Cities to do a whole episode, sit back and check it out. I’m going for fries.
