Musical Mornings Evergreen Cultural Centre Coquitlam Sarah Hagen

It is Easter Weekend coming up but I’m sure everyone is well aware of that, counting down the days until this long weekend.  It’s a quiet week in the Tri-Cities, probably to give time for those family gatherings but there are a few events to keep you busy.  You will want to check out our detailed listing of the Easter Events happening in the Tri-Cities including Easter Egg Hunts, Entertainment, Arts & Crafts and more!  Have a Hoppy Easter and hope the Easter Bunny is good to you all!

What:  Fashion Through the Decades
When:  Thursday, March 28 from 12:30-2:30pm and Saturday, March 30 from 7:00-9:00pm
Where:  Wilson Centre 2150 Wilson Avenue (map)
The skinny:  As part of Port Coquitlam’s 100th Birthday celebrations, they will be presenting a fashion show depicting fashion from the past 100 years  There will be refreshments and lunch on the 28th and a dessert buffet on the 30th. Everyone is encouraged to dress in period costume. Tickets are $10 for each show.

What: Tri-Cities Easter Events
When:  Friday-Sunday, March 29 to March 31
Where:  Variety of locations
The skinny:  There are a variety of Easter events happening in the Tri-Cities this weekend including Easter Egg Hunts, Easter Arts & Crafts and entertainment, including dancing dogs!

What:   PechaKucha Vol: 10 ArtWalk Special Edition
When:  Tuesday, April 2 from 7:30-9:30pm
Where:  Evergreen Cultural Centre, 1205 Pinetree Way (map)
The skinny:  Pecha Kucha Nights feature presenters from within the Tri-City community each showing 20 slides for 20 seconds each, presentations are concise and the pace exciting! You will be introduced to a variety of new ideas that inspire! The unique PKN concept has caught on worldwide as Coquitlam is one of 470 international cities hosting PechaKucha Nights. The skinny:  Join the Business Card Social for a FREE networking event. It’s like a business cocktail party, but in the morning over a cup of coffee. This is not a sit down event at all. No meal to buy. Just meet and mingle.

What:  Musical Mornings with Sarah Hagen & Guests
When:  Wednesday, April 3 from 10:00am-12:00pm
Where:  Evergreen Theatre, 1205 Pinetree Way (map)
The skinny:  Musical Mornings is a new series of five salon-type concerts hosted by acclaimed pianist and producer Sarah Hagen. Each morning begins with coffee, tea and treats followed by a 75 minute classical concert let by Hagen and featuring world class musical artists. It’s intimate. It’s casual. It will become one of your favourite morning rituals. Sarah Hagen will be joined by Marcus Goddard, the Associate Principal Trumpet with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra who has performed with Vancouver New Music, Standing Wave, the Vancouver Opera, the CBC Orchestra and the VSO Brass Quintet. ALL SEATS: $22
