City Centre Aquatic ComplexCCAC-510x170

Located in the heart of Coquitlam, right across from City Hall, City Centre Aquatic Complex has something for every member of the family. Decorated like a scene from a fairy tale, with lobsters and owls, it’s a very thematic pool. If you are planning to lead a healthier lifestyle in 2013, a fitness centre is available for your use. It’s a great way to workout and stretch before beginning to swim laps in their 50 or 25 metre lap pool. They even open at 5:30 am Monday through Saturday, for the early birds among us.

Open until 10:30 pm every day of the week, City Centre is a great place to go to spend some fun time with the family. It’s a wheelchair accessible pool, which means there is more fun for everyone. Their warm water leisure pool with waves is the main attraction for the little ones in your family, and a tot pool is available. A waterslide, zipline, rope swing and even a wibit obstacle course are all a way to entertain the hard to please tweens and teens while the parents relax in a steam room, sauna or a whirl pool.

Apart from all the fun, they also offer classes. You can take anything from swimming and diving lessons to water zumba.

Poirier-Sport-&-Leisure-ComplexPoirier Sport & Leisure Complex

Poirier Sport and Leisure Complex can accommodate 2,200 people just in the main area. This makes the pool a great place to host your next party or event. It features a 25 metre, six lane lap pool, as well as a whirlpool, steam room and sauna. It is probably the best of the three pools for sports. After a nice long workout in their 6,800 square foot Fitness Centre or a skate on their NHL sized ice rink, you can enjoy a nice long swim.

Enjoy a free monthly swim, courtesy of Westminister Savings, on the first Friday of each month from 7:00-9:00pm.
