How do you know it’s November in the Tri-Cities? The rain is here, the salmon are returning home and Christmas is in the air. Christmas?! Isn’t that December? I know, it seems too early but it’s less than 6 weeks away and no time like now to start that Christmas shopping. Port Moody’s Christmas Marketplace and Coquitlam’s Christmas Boutique are having their grand openings. For a unique “adults only” shopping experience at Coquitlam Centre, check out their “Unwrapped” event. What: Opening Reception: Art Exhibits & Blackberry Artist’s Society’s Annual Christmas Marketplace

The skinny: Join the Blackberry Artist’s Society for the Opening Reception of their Christmas Marketplace where many of their 25 artists will be in attendance. The artists in this local cooperative have been working hard in their art studios, making one-of-a-kind gifts to appeal to those shoppers who need something original and affordable.
This Opening Reception also includes Port Moody Arts Centre’s new exhibits, “Cotton Candy Friends”, drawing and paintings by Shari Pratt and “Places I Want to Be”, paintings by Maxine Wolodko. Members of the Port Moody Arts Centre Society have also created 6×6 pieces of artwork that will be part of a silent auction.
This exhibit and the Christmas Marketplace runs from November 15 to December 22.
