Hansel and Gretel at Evergreen – Win Tickets!

Evergreen Cultural Centre Hansel and Gretel

Evergreen Cultural Centre’s Family Series has a great line-up for 2011/2012, exposing children to fabulous live theatre. So far it’s featured At Nightfall and Dianna David: Take a Closer Look. Now the third installment, Hansel and Gretel, is coming up on March 4, 2012 at 2:00pm.

Presented by Vancouver Opera in Schools, Hansel and Gretel is stimulating and memorable. Vancouver Opera in Schools is the largest touring program of its kind in Canada. In its 40 seasons, it has enthralled more than 1.5 million school-aged children and their families in communities throughout British Columbia and Alberta, Washington State and Ottawa.

The presenters breathe new life into this classic fairy tale in a darkly fantastical, fast-paced and enchanting production aimed especially at young people. Based on Engelbert Humperdinck’s classic opera version of the Grimm Brothers’ fable, Hansel and Gretel features four energetic young opera singers, one nimble-fingered pianist, a Gothically gorgeous set and dramatic costumes. It will be sung in English.

We have tickets to give away! One lucky reader could win four tickets to bring their whole family to see Hansel and Gretel. Here’s how to enter:
