Dianna David: Take a Closer Look at Evergreen – Win Tickets!

Evergreen Cultural Centre Family Series Dianna David

Evergreen Cultural Centre’s Family Series has a great line-up for 2011/2012. It opened back in November with At Nightfall. The second installment, Dianna David: Take a Closer Look, is coming up on January 29, 2012 at 2:00pm.

Dianna David is a mechanical engineer turned professional entertainer (as an electrical engineer turned writer, I feel a kinship). What started out as mimicking Michael Jackson at the age of six turned into a full-time passion for her. Dianna wanted to explore her natural talents in movement by fusing it with her love of being silly and playing, which led her to enter the world of clowning. She studied at San Francisco’s Clown Conservatory, The School of Physical Theatre in London, England and New York International Clown Festival’s intensive workshops.

Take a Closer Look is a one-woman show. Dianna brings five characters to life in this visually dynamic show about a young girl finding her way through a new school. Jam-packed with hip hop dancing, clowning, miming, shadow play, contact juggling, multimedia and a very important message. It’s a lesson about one girl’s journey towards tolerance and acceptance, told in a fresh, new way.

We have tickets to give away! One lucky reader could win four tickets to bring their whole family to see Take a Closer Look. Here’s how to enter:
