This year there are Remembrance Day services in Port Moody, Coquitlam, and Port Coquitlam. Join fellow citizens and veterans in your area to remember the sacrifices that were made, and continue to be made for our country.

What: Port Moody Remembrance Day Ceremonies
When: Friday, November 11 starting at 10am
Where: Port Moody Legion [map]
The skinny: Non-denominational service at 10am at the Chip Kerr Auditorium. Parade at 10:30am to the Cenotaph at 11am for the laying of the wreaths. The Canadian Swiftbird Formation Team will flyover with the Seymour Artillery 21-Cannon Gun Salute. Entertainment all day includes the Simon Fraser Pipe Band, dancers and dinner.

What: Port Coquitlam Remembrance Day Services
When: Friday, November 11 at 9:30am
Where: Wilson Centre [map]
The skinny: Following the Wilson Centre Service, veterans and members of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #133 will lead a parade from the Wilson Centre along Wilson Avenue to Shaughnessy Street to the Cenotaph services at Veterans Park.

What: Coquitlam Remembrance Day Services
When: Friday, November 11 from 10:00am-12:00pm
Where: Starts at Como Lake Middle School [map]
The skinny: Service begins at Como Lake Middle School auditorium, followed by a parade to the cenotaph on Porter Street. Participate in our Act of Remembrance and the laying of the wreaths before joining the veterans at Coquitlam’s Legion Hall located at Nelson and Ridgeway. Children are welcome to accompany the veterans to the Legion Hall.

The skinny:Â Join us in celebrating salmon as they return to their spawning grounds.
