What’s Up in the Tri-Cities: Hiring Fair, Little River Band + More!

This week leads up to Labour Day on Monday but for all those individuals and families not traveling, here are a few great events for you to enjoy. There’s a hiring fair, the Little River Band, two breakfast networking meetings, an art display opening and a few other fun things to do!

What: AM Networking Breakfast
When: Thursday, September 1 from 7:30-9:00am

The skinny: Meet other Chamber members, make new contacts and expand your business network all while enjoying your morning breakfast. Bring along at least sixty business cards. What: Art Display Opening
When: Thursday, September 1 at 9:00am

The skinny: Local artist Gillian McQuade is celebrating the International Year of Forests with a display of photo illustrations at Port Moody Public
Library. Inspired by the natural beauty of her neighbourhood, McQuade hopes these images will encourage people to stop and think about the
importance of our local forests in sustaining a habitable world. The exhibition runs from September 1 to 30, during Port Moody’s Festival of the Arts.

What: Seniors Shredding Event

The skinny: A public service event open to all seniors in the TriCity area. Each senior may bring a MAXIMUM of three banker size boxes of paper that needs to be shredded. Shredding will take place on location, services are being provided by Cyclone Shredding. FREE to all TriCity seniors with coupon available at any TriCity Seniors Centre.
