Who doesn’t love pizza and The Price is Right? We’ve got events that scratch both itches this week in the Tri-Cities. And, of course, we have Victoria Day on Monday. Who doesn’t love a long weekend?

What: Tri-Cities Chamber Business After 5 Reception

The skinny: Kindness artist Joseph Bankier and twenty- nine students from Ms. Selden’s Art 10 class at Riverside Secondary have created a collection of mixed media works that explores messages about kindness, specifically – kindness to self, others, environment and nature.

What: Basic Light Urban Search and Rescue

What: Spring Henna Workshop: Henna I
When: Saturday, May 21 from 3:15-5:15pm

The skinny: This 2 hour workshop teaches you the basics of henna painting art. After a quick henna history overview you will learn how to apply with the henna painting tool – the henna cone. So tell a friend to join and be ready to have lots of fun! Supplies you bring: Scotch Tape. Please wear comfortable old clothing as henna can stain. No drop-in participants as supplies will be limited only to those who have registered for the class.
