What: Comedy Sketch Improvisation: CSI “Coquitlam”

The skinny: The star of CTV’s “Comedy Inc”, Roman Danylo, returns! And he’s bringing some friends – Nathan Clark and Denise Jones – to present this touring comedy show, jam packed with hilarious sketches, improv comedy, and a title parody sketch featuring Roman impersonating David Caruso cracking a case that could only happen in … you guessed it, Coquitlam!

What: Gala & Business Excellence Awards 2011

The skinny: The not-to-be-missed extravaganza celebrating business excellence in the Tri-Cities is fast approaching. This year is guaranteed to be unequaled as we gather to honour the winners for Not for Profit of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Business Leader of the Year and Business of the Year. In addition we will be celebrating the Newsmaker of the Year, Chamber Member of the Year and welcoming the incoming 2011 Chair of the Chamber. There will be a champagne reception, a wonderful meal and dancing to follow.

What: Sunday Coffee Concert with Chad Brownlee
When: Sunday, January 30 at 1:30pm

The skinny: Chad Brownlee leaped into the Canadian country music scene in the fall of 2009. This former professional hockey player (drafted by the Vancouver Canucks in the 6th round in 2003) turned country music star achieved a goal very few new artists do on their first single and that is crack the Top 20 on the Canadian Country Music radio charts! What: The Great Mountain (Weeping Mountain)
When: Sunday, January 30 at 2:00pm

The skinny: The Great Mountain tells an adventure story that inspires, entertains and captures the imagination of kids and families alike. Using theatre, dance and music, we follow the journey of Lucy, a curious young girl who sets out on an incredible journey to discover the source of Mother Earth’s mysterious cries. Lucy crosses the sprawling prairies, the laughing river, and then onward to the peak of The Great Mountain. Along the way, she meets a variety of characters who help her to discover the transformative power of nature, and the importance of courage.

What: Becky’s New Car

What: Chamber Night with the Coquitlam Express

The skinny: Join the Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce for an evening of hockey with the Coquitlam Express Jr. A Hockey Team.
