Restaurants of the Tricities

One thing I’ve learned in my short time here on earth is that people like to eat. We especially like to eat when someone else is cooking and doing the dishes. Luckily, we have many restaurants here in the Tricities that cater to every kind of cuisine you can think of. But you’re hungry right now, where to go?

A great local blog that is chock full of thoughtful and well presented local restaurant reviews is Oh My Calico! In particular, their knowledge of Thai cuisine shines through. Even the review of the restaurant in Ikea is done thoughtfully. On the right sidebar you can find the restaurant reviews broken down by city for easy navigation.

Yelp is the granddaddy of crowd-sourced business reviews, and since their entry into the Vancouver market, the reviews of local eats are filling up fast. Check out Yelp’s Port Moody, Coquitlam, and Port Coquitlam restaurant reviews.

Urbanspoon.com is completely restaurant focused, with thoughful reviews and a simple voting system for those not inclined to write a full review. Check out the reviews for Port Moody, Coquitlam, and Port Coquitlam restaurants.

A little known feature here at The V3H is our guide to local restaurant websites, Eat in the V3H.

We’ve attempted to create a page of links with all the local restaurants that have websites to link to. By no means is it comprehensive, and that’s where you come in.

Have a look at our list of restaurants, if you have a favourite that is missing and they’ve got a website they can link to, let us know in the comments below, or email me at jon thev3h.com

Bon Appetit!

  1. Pajo’s in Port Moody is the most obvious absentee here.

And alas, three of my favorite places don’t have a website to point you to, but Sango Sushi and Joker’s Pizza (both in Port Moody) and Orawbar (Coquitlam, taking over the former Anducci’s location) are well worth a look.
