Mr. De Groot was born in The Hague in 1932, but now lives in Langley. When Jan was seven, Nazis attacked and took over Holland. Soon, war started taking things away: important things like neighbours and friends, trust and respect, even clothing, fuel and food. Through it all, Jan was still a boy, finding ways to play with friends and paddle his sailing canoe in the canals. Please call 604.937.4155 to register, or for more information.
