Iran Protest in Coquitlam Video

Since the beginning of the Green Revolution in Iran, a group of Iranians and supporters have regularly gathered on the corner of Mariner and the Barnet Highway. Protests are not an everyday sight here in the Tricities, so last week I had a chance to meet them and talk about the injustices that continue to happen back home.

The support of the Canadian government is needed to put greater international pressure on the regime in Iran. The protesters are happy that Canada walked out on Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s speech to the UN General Assembly, but pressure needs to continue if the will of the Iranian people will one day be carried out.

Thanks to Nasser and Arzoo for sharing with us, here is the video of our conversation…
